It has been pointed out to me that I mentioned two trips for “her indoors” birthday and didn’t include anything about the second trip, so this is to rectify that mistake and show you her second surprise.
This was another castle called Glen App, down on the coast nearly to Stranraer, and a beautiful very private (posh) location.
The restuarant is located in a Victorian greenhouse and you enter the gardens via this impressive archway.
The lawns were laid out nicely and you could sit and have afternoon tea by this beautiful tree.
This is the greenhouse and each party has a six bay dining space to yourselves which made it a cosy warm area where you could relax and enjoy each other’s company without others near by. The food and service was excellent and they even gave the wife a chocolate decorated plate saying Happy Birthday with some petit fours on. A good time was had by all especially the birthday “girl”.
